A Week of Wellness for Seniors
From March 16-22, 2026, we celebrate Wellderly Week. Wellderly Week promotes physical, mental, and emotional wellness for seniors. This is a great time to start any habits, hobbies, or practices that you’ve been thinking about.
What is Wellderly Week?
Wellderly Week is an annual US holiday celebrated during the third week of March. The third Monday of March is often celebrated as Wellderly Day, making March 16 the observed day this year. Wellderly Week was created by Dr. Dale L. Anderson, physician and author. He believes that happiness and laughter are essential to a person’s health.
Wellderly Week focuses on the entire health of a person including mental, physical, and emotional wellness. It encourages lifestyle changes and a positive outlook on the possibilities for each day.
Celebrating Wellderly Week
The best part of Wellderly Week is that it can look however you want. You can start a creative hobby, join a fitness class, explore community events, have lunch with an old friend, or any other countless options.

It can be intimidating to take on a new goal by yourself. Having support can be incredibly influential when it comes to starting something new.
Sunlight caregivers can offer companionship to be a source of support, assistance, and encouragement. They can accompany you to social outings and partake in activities. You can be your best without worry of being hindered by condition or ability. For our caregivers, being a companion isn’t just a role, it's a privilege. They will do their best to help you achieve your goals.
The best part of Wellderly Week: it doesn’t end after the week is done. You can continue celebrating wellness every day. Use this week as a starting point for everything you could be doing, and run with it.
